What an amazing day of events! The concert was just lovely and it was great to have all our singers and families together to enjoy such beautiful music. Thank you to our team of volunteers that assisted – you make everything go smoothly. We look forward to yet another wonderful performance this weekend by our Ensemble, Vocalise, and Chamber choirs!

CDs of the May 28 (and June 13) concerts will be available in July. To order either send a check to the Cantabile office (you may also send a credit card number) with a note of the quantity and concert date/s you would like or just call our office to place your order. CDs are $20ea. LAST MINUTE NEWS: THERE WILL BE A DVD FOR THE JUNE 13 CONCERT, $30ea.

5.  MAY 30 MUSIC FOR LIFE CELEBRATION AND SILENT AUCTION
What fun and a great success. We are still tallying results and contacting winners but it looks that we have raised nearly $5,000 toward future programming needs! Thank you to Board member Lori Mirek and her husband, Ken Pelowski, (parents of Natasia and Marisa) for their generous underwriting for the event and all those who put in bids on the great prizes.

  • Upgrade your two tickets to Premium, pay an additional $25.00 total.

2.  SILENT AUCTION/RECEPTION
Our silent auction items will be set up in the courtyard outside the church. Please take a look, make your bids, and keep you fingers crossed to win some great prizes and help raise money for Cantabile programs! Items will be displayed before the concert and during intermission ONLY. After intermission, winners will be tallied and announced at the reception following the concert. Stay after the concert to enjoy some catered ice cream, live jazz music, mingle with friends and family, and celebrate Cantabile’s successful 15th anniversary season!

  • Pick up after yourselves!
  • No food is allowed in the sanctuary except water bottles with lids.
  • You need to bring a snack or dinner to eat during the breaks during dress rehearsal and concert warm-ups concert day. You may eat in the entry hall or outside courtyard.

Sonja will have tickets at the May 28 dress rehearsal for upgrading your family tickets…
As part of your tuition, families received 2 FREE FAMILY general admission tickets to the upcoming programs your children perform in. Tickets will be distributed at rehearsal beginning this week. Those not picked up before concert date will be held at Will Call.

6.  CONCERT CLOTHES, HAIR, ETC.

  • Hair – please have long hair pulled back and away from the face. Make up as appropriate – blush and lipstick at the minimum.
  • Scents: Please DO take a shower. Please DON’T wear scented lotions, hair sprays, cologne, or perfumes. This is really important!
  • Intermediate only. Please DO bring your music folder to the concert as they will be collected.

Attire (only for concert day, not dress rehearsal)

  • Ensemble/Vocalise Girls:  Black blouse, black palazzo pants, black stockings and close toe shoes (absolutely no sandals or running shoes).
  • Ensemble/Vocalise Boys:  Black pants, black dress shirt, black socks/shoes, red ties.
  • Preparatory/Intermediate: Black pants, red polo shirt, black socks, black close toe shoes.

As part of your tuition, families received 2 FREE FAMILY general admission tickets to the upcoming programs your children perform in. Tickets will be distributed at rehearsal beginning this week. Those not picked up before concert date will be held at Will Call.

Additional tickets are available by calling the Cantabile office, 650-424-1410, or on-line at http://cantabile.org/youth/admin/buy.shtml Tickets are $5 student, $15 general, $25 premium (reserved section), and $50 benefactor (reserved seat).

If you would like to upgrade your FREE FAMILY tickets, please follow the following:

  • MUST be done before concert day by contacting the office. This must be done for the purposes of appropriately allocating the correct number of seats at the venue.
  • Upgrade your two tickets to Premium, pay an additional $25.00 total.
  • Upgrade your two tickets to Benefactor, pay an additional $50.00 total.

7.  CONCERT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Chaperones, ushers, ticket takers, boutique staffers are needed for the upcoming concert. Please contact Sonja directly at sonja@cantabile.org. Below are the needs (especially ushers):

  • Ticket Table (2): Must be good with money!
  • Ticket Table Will Call Station (1): Must be able to alphabetize!
  • Intermediate Chaperones (2): Must like kids!
  • Bring Snacks/Waters for Kids (2-3): Must be hungry yourself!
  • Usher (8): Must like to show people where to go!
  • Pass Out Programs (2-4): Must smile!
  • Take Ticket Stubs (2-4 Must smile and use hands at the same time!
  • Boutique (2): Must like sales and flare!

8.  CONCERT CLOTHES, HAIR, ETC.

  • Hair – please have long hair pulled back and away from the face. Make up as appropriate – blush and lipstick at the minimum.
  • Scents: Please DO take a shower. Please DON’T wear scented lotions, hair sprays, cologne, or perfumes. This is really important!
  • Intermediate only. Please DO bring your music folder to the concert as they will be collected.

Attire (only for concert day, not dress rehearsal)

  • Ensemble/Vocalise Girls:  Black blouse, black palazzo pants, black stockings and close toe shoes (absolutely no sandals or running shoes).
  • Ensemble/Vocalise Boys:  Black pants, black dress shirt, black socks/shoes, red ties.
  • Preparatory/Intermediate: Black pants, red polo shirt, black socks, black close toe shoes.
